BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve arrested three armed robbery suspects who targeted the campus of Andrews University in southwestern Michigan.

The Berrien County sheriff’s department announced early Monday that a 17-year-old boy and two men ages 18 and 19 are in custody following one robbery and two robbery attempts late Saturday at the school’s campus in Berrien Springs. All are from Berrien Springs.

Two victims had face injuries but declined medical treatment. A campus alert was sent out and dorms were told to secure their doors.

The department says a pellet gun believed to have been used by the suspects also was recovered. Tips from the public that came in after information was released Sunday about the case and images released of the suspects are credited in part for the arrests.
