BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone says Diego Costa could miss the Champions League quarterfinal against Barcelona on Tuesday.

Costa left Atletico’s training at the Camp Nou on Monday with an apparent knock to his right leg, and Simeone told Spanish public broadcaster TVE after speaking to medical staff that “if he came out of training early, it looks difficult for him to play tomorrow.”

Simeone said he still hopes Costa will be available, with a decision set to be made just before the game.

Costa has scored 33 goals in all competitions for Spanish leader Atletico, which is without suspended forward Raul Garcia for the first leg match at the Camp Nou.

Simeone has strikers David Villa and Adrian Lopez available as well.
