CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia University Art Museum has received 49 artworks by West Virginia artist Grace Martin Taylor.

The works were donated by Taylor’s daughter, Lucie Mellert.

Museum curator Robert Bridges tells the Sunday Gazette-Mail (https://bit.ly/1rTdxHs ) that Mellert has made donated her mother’s works to the museum in the past. But the latest gift is the largest.

Taylor was a printmaker, painter, collage artist and art educator. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States.

Taylor died in 1995.
