JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Two men have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms after admitting their roles in a violent drug distribution ring in New Jersey’s second largest city.

New Jersey’s attorney general says David Gilliens and Dempsey Collins, both of Jersey City, were sentenced Tuesday in Super Court in Hudson County.

Gilliens, 32, who went by “Good Dude” or “GD,” was given a 20 year term on Tuesday. Thirty-three year-old Collins, known as “Da” or “Demps,” was given a 20 year sentence on Jan. 24.

Both men previously pleaded guilty to charges of leading a narcotics trafficking network.

Prosecutors say the two men lead a gang-affiliated drug ring that sold heroin, PCP and marijuana in the Greenville section of Jersey City.

They were among 13 indicted in a wider investigation called Operation Wetlands.
