BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after threatening his estranged wife, their children and county prosecutors while on trial for weapons possession.

Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita III said Monday that 52-year-old Eugene Lawrence’s criminal record goes back to the 1980s and includes a manslaughter conviction and several for assault.

The Buffalo News (https://bit.ly/1din18R ) reports that he was arrested in December 2012 with a stolen, loaded revolver after police responded to Lawrence’s repeated threats to kill his family.

While on trial, authorities say Lawrence called his estranged wife and others to intimidate them and threatened to physically harm the female assistant district attorneys who prosecuted him.
