NEW YORK (AP) - The 70-year-old owner of a chain of New York City music schools for children who admitted to molesting a 9-year-old girl he had been teaching has been sentenced to two years in jail.

Ilya Lehman was sentenced on Tuesday after pleading guilty to forcible sexual conduct against a child. At his sentencing, Lehman apologized to the victim and her family.

Prosecutors said the girl’s mother found Lehman inappropriately touching her daughter during a private lesson at their Upper West Side home. Court records say the girl told her mother that she had repeated inappropriate contact with Lehman.
