Nearby resident Marvin Bothelho tells KHON-TV (https://ow.ly/ubJFE ) he heard someone screaming for help at about 4:30 a.m. He says he and his friends rushed over to the bloodied man, who had been stabbed in the face.

Botelho says he recognized the man as someone he went to Waianae High School with.
