QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - A western Illinois man is free on bond after being accused of battering and intimidating a television station’s cameraman during a remote broadcast.
The Quincy Herald-Whig (https://bit.ly/1fWLr92 ) reports that Adams County prosecutors have charged 60-year-old Roger Parker with aggravated battery, felony intimidating and a misdemeanor resisting-arrest charge.
Authorities say a WGEM reporter Jenny Dreasler and cameraman Ben Neisen were on public property doing a live report about littering last Thursday when Parker allegedly knocked the camera away from Neisen.
The intimidation count alleges Parker threatened to damage Neisen’s camera.
A message left Tuesday with his court-appointed attorney, Holly Henze, was not immediately returned.
