ROSLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island say two 19-year-old men have been killed in a car crash.

The accident happened at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday in Roslyn Heights.

Nassau County homicide detectives say 19-year-old Steven Clancy was driving a Volkswagen Jetta northbound on Roslyn Road when he struck a curb and then a tree in the rear yard of an Oak Lane residence.

Clancy and his passenger, Javier Gonzalez, were pronounced dead. Both men were from Mineola.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
