CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Blackhawks made no major moves before the trade deadline, and that was just fine with general manager Stan Bowman.

While several teams made moves before Wednesday’s deadline, the defending champions were quiet.

They traded for Kris Versteeg in November and acquired defensemen David Rundblad and Mathieu Brisebois in a deal with the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday. Otherwise, the Blackhawks look about the same.

That’s good for Bowman, who says they “don’t have any players that we want to trade away.”

In other news, Bowman didn’t seem too concerned about Marian Hossa’s upper body injury, saying he’s “coming along fine.” The veteran is expected to miss two to three weeks.

Bowman also says it’s “too early to say” when goalie Nikolai Khabibulin (torn rotator cuff surgery) will return.
