EAST CHINA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A southeastern Michigan hospital has temporarily relocated some people from areas where a boiler problem had sent an irritant through the ventilation system.

A spokesman for St. John River District Hospital in St. Clair County’s East China Township says there were no injuries from the leaking irritant on Wednesday morning, which was resolved by early afternoon.

Brian Taylor says people and personnel were moved from part of the emergency room and radiology department to other areas as a precaution, and fire and hazardous material crews investigated. They were back in their respective areas of the building after a few hours.

The hospital is about 40 miles northeast of Detroit.
