BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Fire investigators in Buffalo are looking into what caused a blaze that has claimed a man’s life on the city south side.

Officials tell local media that the fire was reported around 10 p.m. Tuesday at a home in South Buffalo.

Authorities say a man between 40 and 50 years of age died in the fire, along with his dog. The man’s name hasn’t been released. Officials say he lived alone.

The fire caused about $120,000 in damages.
