BALTIMORE (AP) - Authorities say a 67-year-old Baltimore man who attacked a bus driver and a fellow rider with a cane died after a struggle with officers.

Maryland Transit Administration spokeswoman Paulette Austrich says agency officers were called to a bus on Cloverdale Road in Baltimore on Tuesday morning.

Austrich says when officers tried to restrain the man, he went into cardiac arrest. She says the man was taken to an area hospital, where he died. Police identified the man as Antonio Moreno.

The MTA officers involved have been placed on routine administrative duty. Baltimore police are investigating Moreno’s death.
