CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - In a story March 4 about Oregon State University’s fundraising campaign, The Associated Press reported erroneously the amount the school raised. It was more than $1.01 billion, not more than $1.1 billion.

A corrected version of the story is below:

OSU fundraising campaign raises $1.01 billion

Oregon State University fundraising campaign raises $1.01 billion for scholarships, faculty

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State University has raised more than $1.01 billion in its funding-raising campaign.

The university says it passed its $1 billion goal nearly a year early, and the campaign will continue the rest of this year.

The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/1gOKVI2) the money will create scholarships and fellowships for students, endow faculty positions, and renovate dozens of campus buildings.

More than 100,000 people have contributed to the campaign so far. And, 177 donors gave $1 million or more.
