MACON, Ga. (AP) - Torrico Simmons scored 18 points to lead Wilkinson County to a 72-64 win over Turner County in the GHSA Class A public school boys state championship game.

The Warriors won their second consecutive Class A public championship and seventh state championship overall, with all coming since 1999.

Quantavious Jones added 13 points for the Warriors. Shaquil Baldwin led Turner County with 18 points.

Wilkinson County (27-6) missed 11 free throws in the final two minutes as Turner County cut a 10-point fourth quarter deficit to two points with 11 seconds to play on a basket by Iman Holley. But the Rebels (26-5) missed five straight free throws in the final minute and turned the ball over without getting off a shot in the final five seconds while trailing by two points. Wilkinson County added six points from the foul line following three technical fouls assessed to Turner County.
