LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police says a collision between a van and a Quitman school bus on a Cleburne County state highway has left a 54-year-old woman dead.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1n3CeRM ) that the bus was at a stop on Arkansas 124 east of Quitman picking up a child Friday when the van struck the back end of the bus.

A preliminary crash report identifies the victim as the van’s driver, Martha Bearden of Guy. The report also lists a female passenger of the van, Phoenix Bearden of Guy, as injured. Officials say Phoenix is an infant but his relationship to Martha Bearden was not immediately clear.

Officials say Emergency Medical Services transported the child to be examined by a physician. Neither passengers nor the driver of the bus reported injuries.
