ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police have arrested a man they say approached numerous children to film them getting squirted with a water gun.

The Albuquerque Journal reports (https://bit.ly/O6hIjz) that a criminal complaint released Friday shows 35-year-old Kevin Jaramillo is facing eight counts of child abuse, one count of kidnapping and one count of indecent exposure.

According to police, the suspect would ask victims to help him raise money for church and to “save puppies.”

Police say in some instances, the victims, who range in age from 9 to 18, complained of stomachaches or burning sensations in their eyes after being squirted in the face with fluid.

Police say Jaramillo also exposed himself to a 9-year-old girl.

Investigators say a picture taken by a 16-year-old victim’s boyfriend led them to Jaramillo.
