ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The names of two men killed in the line of duty will be added Thursday to the Indian Country Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Artesia, New Mexico.

Alaska State Troopers say honored will be Manokotak village public safety officer Thomas Madole and Sandoval County, New Mexico, Sgt. Robert Baron.

Madole was shot and killed March 19, 2013, while responding to a domestic violence call in the Alaska Native village. Baron died a day after he was struck Dec. 5 while directing traffic along Interstate 25 near San Felipe Pueblo.

Madole is the third Alaskan represented on the memorial. Officer Matthew Tokuoka and Sgt. Anthony Wallace were gunned down in 2010 while talking on a street in the Native village of Hoonah, located on an island 40 miles west of Juneau.
