WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Flooding from heavy rains forced road and school closures in Delaware, but there were no reports of injuries.

Delaware transportation officials reported roads closed in all three counties Thursday morning, and some schools in northern Delaware were closed.

Wilmington police reported that some roads in and around the downtown area were impassable Thursday morning because of standing water, affecting the morning commute.

Flooding also closed the Claymont train station Wednesday night, but the station was reopened Thursday morning for southbound SEPTA trains. Northbound serviced was expected to resume later Thursday morning.

Authorities say emergency workers rescued about 15 students from a stalled bus in Edgemoor on Wednesday, and rescue workers also retrieved a person who was clinging to a tree near White Clay Creek and Chambers Rock Road in Newark.
