BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Fire officials say a man has died from injuries he suffered in a three-alarm apartment building fire in western New York.

Firefighters were called to the Commodore Apartments in Buffalo on Wednesday night.

When they arrived on the scene, they say they found an injured man in an apartment on the fourth floor. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Officials have not released his name.

Fire crews were able to contain the flames to the man’s apartment - where they believe the blaze started - and the one directly above it.

WIVB-TV (https://bit.ly/1hfOjeH) reports one firefighter suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
