MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont House has approved a conference committee agreement on a bill allowing four small beers to be served at a time in a so-called “sampler flight.” The legislation also bans the sale of powdered alcohol.
Sampler flights come in a rack containing multiple small glasses of beer, so a customer can compare and contrast them. Sen. Kevin Mullin, a backer of the legislation, says they can have a total capacity of 32 ounces.
Powdered alcohol has drawn concern because lawmakers fear it could be snorted. The House had earlier concurred with a Senate push to ban the substance.
The powdered alcohol and sampler flight bills ended up combined in a conference committee agreement.
