Marina fire burns boats in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) - Officials say at least five boats were damaged in a fire at the Rhode Island Yacht Club in Cranston.

WJAR-TV (https://bit.ly/1oi7D2r ) reports one person was transported from the scene by ambulance after the fire broke out late Saturday night. The fire department did not release information on any injuries.

Crews were using sea water and foam in an attempt to knock down the flames.

The marina’s dock was also damaged.
