LAS VEGAS (AP) - Three Cuban immigrants have been found guilty in federal court in Nevada of multiple charges in the theft of drugs and designer goods from delivery vans and warehouses in and around Las Vegas.

U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden said Monday that Alexis Torres Simon, Julio De Armas Diaz and Alexander Del Valle Garcia could face decades in prison for their convictions on conspiracy, attempted interference with commerce by robbery and firearm charges.

Diaz and Simon face additional time on theft from interstate shipment convictions. Simon also was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Sentencing is set Aug. 18.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/RB24yl ) that defense lawyers say they’ll appeal.

The attorneys contended during trial that the case hinged on the word of an unreliable six-time felon.
