LUDINGTON, Mich. (AP) - It’s not a record, but it’s certainly a big brown trout. How big? Try 30 pounds.

Larry Ingle and his son Bradon were aboard a charter boat last week in Lake Michigan, just south of Ludington, when they landed the fish with a ThunderStick lure.

The skipper, Craig Coleman, tells the Ludington Daily News (https://bit.ly/1mf8oHa) that it took about 45 minutes to bring the fish into the boat. The Michigan record for brown trout is a nearly 42-pound fish caught in the Manistee River in 2009.

Ingle says he might display the trout at his Ludington bar, Bud’s Taproom, or at Captain Chuck’s Great Outdoors in Ludington.
