ELLERY, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a Pennsylvania man who died after his boat capsized on a western New York lake during rough weather.

State police say 69-year-old Robert Knell of Duke Center, Pennsylvania and 65-year-old Roy Barclay of Derrick City, Pennsylvania were fishing Friday under the bridge carrying Interstate 86 over Chautauqua Lake when high winds and waves overturned their 14-foot boat.

Troopers say bystanders used a boat to rescue both men and bring them to the shore in the town of Ellery, where an ambulance took them to a Jamestown hospital.

Police say Knell died Saturday morning from cardiac arrest. Barclay was treated for exposure to cold water and released.

Troopers say both men were wearing life jackets.
