GIBSONIA, Pa. (AP) - A Mother’s Day celebration at a western Pennsylvania winery was interrupted by a fire in the kitchen wall of a banquet room.

Nobody was hurt, though kitchen staff had to evacuate about 150 guests at the Narcisi (nar-SEE’-see) Winery in West Deer Township. That’s about 15 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

A musician hired for the event continued playing as guests sipped wine in a nearby courtyard and a field next to the winery.

The fire was reported about 5 p.m. Sunday and was believed to be electrical in nature, though Allegheny County fire marshals were investigating to confirm its exact cause and origin.

Owner Randy Narcisi says only the banquet room was affected by the fire, which was out within an hour. The winery will remain open during repairs.
