PROVO, Utah (AP) - Doctors in Provo say a 19-year-old woman hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning is improving after an accident that claimed the lives of two people.

Utah Valley Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank tells KSL-TV (https://tinyurl.com/l3fsesl ) that Vanessa Batistic of Elsinore has been upgraded to good condition.

She was rushed there Friday when four people were poisoned at a home in Richfield.

Two stepbrothers were found dead by their father - 17-year-old Joey Julander and 21-year-old Tyler Utley. A fourth person, 14-year-old Kennedee Starr of Annabella, was treated and released.

The two females had been visiting the house.

Investigators say they were sickened by fumes from a fuel-powered generator. They say the family was using the generator for heat after their power was turned off earlier in the week.
