KNOXVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Gov. Terry Branstad has signed a bill into law making up to $2 million in sales tax rebates available to the Knoxville Raceway for improvements at the track.

Branstad went to Knoxville on Tuesday to sign the bill beneath the raceway grandstand.

The measure will help pay for improvements and expansion of the track, known nationally for its hosting of spring car racing events.

Raceway general manager Brian Stickel says plans include new luxury suites.

Branstad has also signed into law a measure that gives tax breaks to the Iowa Speedway in Newton.
