PERRY, Ga. (AP) - A judge has awarded $200,000 in two civil suits filed against a radiology technician who falsified mammogram results.

Authorities have said 33-year-old Rachael Rapraeger used doctors’ computer logins to enter more than 1,000 negative mammogram results for patients at Perry Hospital for about 18 months. Prosecutors have said 10 of the mammograms were actually positive. Authorities have said Rapraeger falsified the results to avoid having to do paperwork that would be necessary if the mammograms were reviewed by a radiologist.

The Telegraph of Macon (https://bit.ly/1ljUCze ) reported Tuesday that Judge Edgar W. Ennis Jr. also awarded other damages and attorney’s fees against Rapraeger in those two cases.

Rapraeger was sentenced to serve up to six months in a detention center and 10 years on probation.
