BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - University of Vermont graduates will get their diplomas this weekend.

The undergraduate commencement ceremony takes place on Sunday on the university green.

Graduates will hear from Samantha Power, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and a Pulitzer Prize-winning author. Power, a member of President Barack Obama’s cabinet, won a Pulitzer for “A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide (2002).” She also has served as special assistant to the president and senior director of multilateral affairs and human rights on the National Security staff at the White House.

The Graduate College commencement ceremony happens on Saturday.

The College of Medicine graduation will occur on Sunday in the Ira Allen Chapel.
