MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Three lawyers have been named finalists to a replace a longtime Minot-based judge who is retiring.

North Central Judicial District Judge William McLees plans to step down at the end of June, ending a three-decade career behind the bench. A Judicial Nominating Committee has named Minot lawyers Kelly Dillon, Robert Martin and Stacy Louser as finalists.

Dillon is the deputy state’s attorney in Ward County, Martin is the supervising attorney with the Public Defenders Office in Minot and Louser is a partner at Louser and Zent, P.C., a private practice.
