NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - Niagara Falls State Park is in line for $9 million in improvements.

State officials say about $5 million will go toward rehabilitation of the plaza at the Cave of the Winds attraction. The rest will fund restoration of the observation area Terrapin Point.

The money comes from the New York Power Authority, which operates a power plant along the Niagara River.

The park surrounding the famous waterfalls is the oldest state park in the nation.
