SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A 31-year-old Salt Lake City woman has died from injuries she suffered in an accident in a construction zone in South Salt Lake.

Police Lt. Gary Keller says the woman was taken off life support about 4 p.m. Wednesday. Her name has not been released.

The woman was a passenger in a Chevy Malibu that was traveling north Saturday morning on 700 West near 3800 South where the lanes shift due to road construction.



The car collided with a Durango and rolled. The woman was partially ejected.

Police told The Salt Lake Tribune (https://tinyurl.com/kwu4xdv ) they suspect the 24-year-old driver of the Malibu was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The case remains under investigation.
