Warning to truck thief: Truck belongs to judge

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - Whoever stole Melissa Madrigal’s pickup truck in Corpus Christ better hope they don’t wind up in court.

Madrigal is a Nueces County magistrate judge.

Madrigals’ Ford F-150 Supercrew was stolen Wednesday from outside her mother’s home in Corpus Christi.

Her checkbook, campaign files and a gift she recently received are missing with the truck.

She tells the Corpus Christi Caller-Times (https://bit.ly/RUi1jr) the theft bothers her but she’s grateful it’s not a crime where she or her mother was physically hurt.
