RIDGELAND, Miss. (AP) - Six people escaped a houseboat fire at the Ross Barnett Reservoir.
Reservoir Patrol Chief Perry Waggener says the fire broke out Friday night aboard the privately owned houseboat.
Waggener said there were no life-threatening injuries.
Butch Hammack, Madison County’s emergency management director, said one person was burned and another suffered a possible broken arm when she jumped from the boat.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
