ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) - Ithaca police say a man reported missing in Cayuga Lake has turned out to be OK, but not until he was subdued by police with a stun gun after he ran around naked and high on drugs downtown.
Police tell media outlets that a call for help prompted a boat search in Treman state park shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday. The man’s clothes were found along a pier.
About 45 minutes into the search, a call came in about a naked man hit by a car as he ran through downtown Ithaca.
When police arrived, the man struggled with them until he was subdued by a stun gun.
The man’s friend told police they had been using marijuana and LSD earlier in the evening. Both men were taken to a hospital for evaluation.
