WEST WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - Advocates to reduce homelessness plan to hold a vigil to honor the life of a homeless man who was found dead last month in a ditch by the side of a road in Warwick.

Joseph Graham died April 8. The Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless says the cause of death has not been identified.

The group will honor Graham with a vigil Monday in his hometown of West Warwick.

The coalition’s statewide outreach committee decided this year to hold a vigil every time someone in Rhode Island dies outside while homeless to bring visibility to the issue.

Graham was the second person to have died outside while homeless this year. Michael Bourque died in Newport in March.
