TEA, S.D. (AP) - The Tea School District will recount ballots on Wednesday from a May 13 election in which voters rejected a $9.9 million expansion by just two votes.

The necessary three registered voters signed paperwork earlier to force a recount. The Argus Leader newspaper reports (https://argusne.ws/1nkctsi ) that a panel of three school district residents will meet Wednesday afternoon to review every ballot. One person is from the supporting group, one is from the opposition group and the third is a person mutually agreed upon.

The recount is expected to take about an hour.

The rejected measure called for adding elementary school classrooms and a performing arts center. It was the third school bond measure rejected by Tea voters within a year.
