Thief caught with nothing but the kitchen sink

NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 46-year-old thief has been caught stealing nothing but the kitchen sink from a Hudson Valley homeowner.

Police in the city of Newburgh tell the Times Herald-Record of Middletown (https://bit.ly/1kkQD8R ) that officers responded last Wednesday morning to a report of a man looking into cars.

A homeowner met officers and said the man was inside his garage. Police say the officers checked the garage and found the man holding a kitchen sink.

He was charged with felony burglary and is being held in the Orange County Jail without bail.
