WILTON, N.Y. (AP) - State police are looking for the driver of a car that caused a chain-reaction crash on an upstate New York highway, injuring two children and a woman whose vehicle rolled over multiple times.

Troopers say a car unsafely changed lanes while traveling north on Interstate 87, the Adirondack Northway, around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Saratoga County town of Wilton.

The car hit another car, causing that vehicle to cross into the path of a sport utility vehicle. The SUV overturned several times before coming to rest along the side of the highway. Troopers say the car that caused the accident fled the scene.

Police say the life of a 7-year-old riding in the SUV was likely saved by her child seat. The girl, the woman driving the SUV and a 9-year-old passenger escaped with minor injuries.
