BOSTON (AP) - A Boston man has been convicted of trafficking a teenage girl for sex.

Prosecutors say 30-year-old Michael Gemma was found guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Boston of using force, fraud, and coercion to cause a minor to engage in prostitution, and transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

Gemma faces life in prison at sentencing on Sept. 9.

Authorities say the investigation began in 2011 when police stopped Gemma for speeding. A teenage girl with no identification was in the car.

The 16-year-old girl said Gemma had driven her to New York and New Jersey for prostitution.

Prosecutors say the victim testified that Gemma and an accomplice took photos of her wearing lingerie which were used for online ads that offered sex for a fee.
