DOVER, N.H. (AP) - A former city councilor and state representative from Dover, New Hampshire, has been indicted on charges that he pointed a gun at a woman’s head and threatened to kill her and himself in 2012.

The indictment against 23-year-old Michael Weeden also accuses him of forcing himself sexually on the woman.

It wasn’t immediately known if Weeden has a lawyer. Foster’s Daily Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/Si8kf4) he has not responded to phone calls, but did post a comment on Facebook saying when the matter goes before a jury, “they will see how ridiculous this claim is.”

He’s scheduled to be arraigned May 29.

Weeden ran for re-election to the council seat by was defeated in November.
