MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Alabama Driver License Division is adjusting days of service at two locations beginning in mid-June.

State Department of Public Safety officials say the Clanton examining office, which is currently open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. will drop Monday service hours beginning June 16.

Officials say the Wetumpka examining office, which is currently open 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, will drop Thursday service hours beginning June 16.

Department of Public Safety officials say the decision to drop service hours was based on low application volumes on certain days. Officials say adjusting service hours will help maximize resources and cut wait times for customers.
