JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State rallied with two runs in the eighth inning and held on for a 4-3 win over South Alabama in an elimination game in the Sun Belt Conference baseball tournament in Mobile, Alabama.

RBI singles by Zach Maggio and Austin Baker gave the Red Wolves a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning of Thursday’s game and Lucas Fedderson added an insurance run with an RBI single in the ninth.

Bradley Wallace earned up the win for ASU (31-26) after allowing two runs - one earned - in eight innings. Morgan Croft picked up the save despite allowing a run to USA (22-33) in the ninth.

Arkansas State will play another elimination game on Friday against the loser of the Texas-Arlington-Troy game.
