PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) - Clallam County sheriff’s officers say one man is dead and a second man is in custody after a shooting at a birthday party in a home east of Port Angeles, Washington.

Deputies called to a disturbance early Thursday found 25-year-old Matthew Baker of Port Angeles dead on the living room floor.

Other partygoers say Baker and a second man had been alone in the living room as Baker was leaving after both attended the party. Witnesses in another room say they heard a single “pop” but heard no argument beforehand. The second man was found sitting in the living room with a semi-automatic handgun nearby.

The sheriff’s office says 26-year-old Nathan Olson of Sequim (Skwim) has been arrested for investigation of homicide.
