PHOENIX (AP) - Sky Harbor International Airport officials in Phoenix say dozens of Southwest Airlines flights have been delayed because of an hour-long power outage in part of the airport.

Airport spokeswoman Julie Rodriguez says the outage occurred Thursday morning in the side of Terminal 4 that serves Southwest.

During the outage, passengers were screened at three Terminal 4 security checkpoints not affected by the outage.

Meanwhile, stairs were used to take passengers off some flights when jet bridges wouldn’t work during the outage. Those passengers were then escorted into the terminal.

The airport suggests that departing passengers check the status of their flights before going to the airport.

No further information is available.
