LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Warming temperatures and rain falling over Wyoming’s still plentiful snowpack could cause flooding through the weekend.

The National Weather Service says flooding is possible in the Snowy, Sierra Madre and Northern Laramie ranges and nearby river basins starting Friday afternoon through Sunday. It’s warning people in the outdoors for Memorial Day weekend to keep an eye on the weather.

Flooding is also possible in northwestern and north central Wyoming.

Earlier this week, snowmelt runoff caused minor flooding in parts of Carbon County.
