CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (AP) - Officials at Thomas More College say a recent $4 million donation is the largest individual gift in its history.

The Kentucky Enquirer reports (https://cin.ci/1lKlqZy ) college president Dave Armstrong announced the donation from an anonymous donor at Thomas More’s graduation ceremony on the Crestview Hills campus this month.

Thomas More will try to match the gift with other donations during the next four years.

The college will use the money to create a student success center for tutoring, advising, career counseling and services for students with documented learning differences.

Armstrong has emphasized increasing Thomas More’s enrollment and has added programs including a marching band, a woman’s lacrosse team and an athletic training program.

Thomas More currently has about 1,600 total students, about 850 of them traditional undergraduates.
