SULPHUR, La. (AP) - A Calcasieu Correctional Center inmate who walked off a work crew Friday has been caught in a camping trailer in Sulphur.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers says in a news release that 24-year-old Scotty Carrier was arrested without incident.

Myers says Carrier walked off of his trustee job at Burton Coliseum around 1:30 p.m. Friday. Carrier is being charged with simple escape. Judge Sharon Wilson set bond at $100,000.

Myers says 26-year-old Stefani O’Quain and 24-year-old Meagan Garrett, both of Sulphur, are accused of assisting Carrier escape.

Myer says O’Quain allegedly helped to plan the escape and Garrett provided transportation.

O’Quain and Garrett are each charged with assisting escape. Bonds were set at $10,000 each.
