GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a kidnapping in Jefferson County they believe is related to a marijuana business.

The sheriff’s department says two men with handguns forced their way into a home just after midnight Saturday and kidnapped two residents - a man and a woman. Department spokesman Mark Techmeyer says one of the suspects left the scene, while the other drove off with the victims in a car.

Police spotted the vehicle, and a pursuit ended with a crash in the downtown Denver area. Techmeyer says the suspect in the car ran away and has not been found.

The woman who was kidnapped was not injured, but the man - as well as another man who was left in the house - suffered minor injuries. Investigators did not say how marijuana was involved in the kidnapping.
